In this post I wanted to let you know about DUBTurbo that has been getting a huge amount of attention over the last few months, more so now as they have just launched version 1.5 of the software.
I get a lot of emails asking me what the best way to get started making rap beats and dance music online and my reply is always the same:
"Invest the time into learning Cubase or Fruity Loops as you will be learning real music production and if you go for anything less than that you will not be able to make high quality tunes!"
Then I come across DUBTurbo and this software blows the statement above out of the water.
The reason for this is because it gives you everything (minus a few features) that the higher end music production programs give you and it is not just a bar looper.
You get 16 tracks in which to lay down your music. You also get a ton of kits that you can pick from to make pretty much any style of music that you want.
What is different about DUBTurbo and brilliant I might add is the fact that you can 'track out' properly once you have created your masterpiece and this basically means splitting all of the tracks into separate parts and then if and when you go to sell your beats you will be able to give the purchaser the full track as well as the split parts of audio.
This is a must and you will not be able to do this with just some looper.
As well as that the other cool thing is that you get proper studio quality .wav files that you can export and this means that you get studio quality music!
